We currently have a wonderful opportunity for a Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at care home based in York. The company is an 80 bed purposely built care home with a friendly atmosphere. The care home have various beds for general nursing and residential residents, people with dementia nursing and for dementia residential care.

 The successful candidate will be offered various shifts and excellent salary of £16.00 per hour plus other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities 

 Champion appropriate independence and personal choice; developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet our residents physical, social and psychological needs.

 Build the positive reputation of the Business; liaise professionally with visitors and other external stakeholders

 Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered, in accordance with company policies and current legislation

 Support, guide, teach and mentor others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times 

 Understand the key targets of your host home and support the Home Manager in their achievement by promoting and practicing high standards of nursing care and ensuring staff and shifts are supervised in a smooth manner. 

Key Skills

 The ability to lead a team, analyse problems and propose solutions or improvements

 People Management experience 

 Able to communicate effectively and to develop professional relationships

 Respectful of the values, views and needs of others 

 Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload 

To be considered for this role you must be qualified as General Nurse and must be registered with the NMC
